Tillingford Garden, Surrey.
1st prize winner in the 2006 TorSan Lorenzo International for "best private garden":
"The many levels of this site allow for the generous use of timber decks and terraces. There is an almost tangible peace and tranquility in the garden with water rills and channels running like a life-sustaining force through the space. Gabion baskets are used to create a bold, unique retaining wall and give a strong contemporary feel to the area close to the house. A large deck connects to the kitchen and wraps around the house to join a circular decked roof garden over a lower bedroom area. This space features a turret viewpoint echoing the architecture of the Victorian house and specially designed zinc planters arranged in grids, planted simply with clipped squares of buxus."
