Eggmann Garden,
Zurich, Switzerland:
"The conversion of unused lawn to a pond gave this garden new life. The small summer house across the bridge was designed on an elevated position to enjoy the views out across the nearby golf course. By using a simple but effective palette of plants the garden does not feel stuffed with different species. Colour plays an important role here but not in the way most people imagine. Green is still dominant and the foliage plants such as grasses, reeds and large leaves of ferns and petasites are still my key plants. The garden is set out using a simple grid but depends on each strong design element for its clarity."
